How we build for High Performance

Thethree thingsthat matter when you want capability at the top of the lineup.

Every Biktrix bike has to deliver on Comfort and Performance. For High Performance specifically, we add a third focus — Power: 1000W+ motors and the engineering to make that power useful, not dangerous.

PILLAR 01

Comfort

Capability that doesn't punish you.

  • Hydraulic disc brakes on every model — confident stopping under load
  • Suspension forks or full-suspension on every HP bike
  • Fat tires where appropriate for surface confidence
  • Ergonomic geometry even at 2000W — not race-cramped
  • Step-thru option available on multiple HP models
PILLAR 02

Performance

1000W minimum — every bike in this lineup.

  • Range up to 200 km with dual-battery configuration
  • Torque up to 170 Nm — climbs anything from a standstill
  • Mid-drive efficiency on every climb-focused model
  • Dual-chain redundancy on the FS XD flagship
  • Carbon fiber FS option for serious trail capability
RAW POWER · RAW SPEED · BUILT IN CANADA

Stop riding like a grownup.

Most eBikes max out at the legal limit. The RogueHawk doubles it.

This is the bike for riders who still want their weekends to mean something. The ones who refuse to slow down gracefully. The ones who pass mountain trails and think 'I used to do that' — and want to do it again. Engineered in Canada. Built to go faster than you remember being allowed to.

EFFICIENCY · MID-DRIVE 1000W LINEUP

Mid-drive hill efficiency.

Power that scales with how hard you pedal.

Our 1000W mid-drive lineup puts the motor at the pedal crank, leveraging the bike's gearing. Result: efficient climbs under load, natural-feeling assist that ramps with your effort, and better range than a same-watt hub. The choice for riders who climb a lot or carry weight.

CASE STUDY · BIKTRIX LABS

The XD Drive System

World's first production dual-drive eBike system

Biktrix Labs engineered the world's first production-ready dual-drive eBike system — solving the single-point-of-failure problem on every traditional eBike. Powers the flagship of the High Performance lineup.

Chain redundancy
2000WMid-drive flagship
100%Canadian engineered

Traditional eBikes rely on a single chain and a single drive mechanism. For outdoor riders, mountain bikers, hunters, and backcountry explorers, that's a single point of failure — if the chain breaks, you're stranded.

Why Dual-Drive?

Common questions about High Performance bikes

Real ones we hear from buyers shopping the top of the lineup.

What makes a bike "High Performance" at Biktrix?

Two criteria: 1000W or more of motor power, or carbon fiber frame construction. Every bike in this collection meets at least one. They're our flagship lineup — top of the spec ladder, hardest to engineer, the bikes we'd ride ourselves on serious terrain. Note: every High Performance bike is also in All Purpose, because they're all capable everyday bikes too.

Should I just buy from All Purpose instead?

Depends on how you shop. All Purpose answers "what bike fits my use case?" — commute, trail, cargo, weekend. High Performance answers "what bike has the most capability ceiling?" — power, redundancy, premium materials. If you're shopping by use case, start with All Purpose. If you're shopping by raw spec, start here.

Why dual-chain redundancy? Isn't it overkill?

For city commuters, yes. For the buyers we built it for — hunters, backcountry explorers, riders 50+ km from any help — it's the reason to pay the FS XD premium. A broken chain in the city means a walk home; in the backcountry it can mean abandoning gear or worse. The XD Drive System uses two independent chains so either can power the bike alone. Canadian-engineered, the only motor we build ourselves. Read the full case study →

Hub-drive vs Mid-drive on a 2000W bike — which?

Hub-drive: motor in the wheel. Simpler, no dual-chain drag, faster top-end acceleration. Better for flat to rolling terrain and buyers who want raw speed (RogueHawk). Mid-drive: motor at the pedal crank, leverages the bike's gearing. More efficient on steep hills, better for loaded cargo, feels more natural because the assist scales with how hard you pedal (FS XD, Ultra Duo). Both are 2000W-capable in this lineup — pick by riding style, not power number.

How is the Monte Capro's carbon different from other carbon eBikes?

The Monte Capro uses a full carbon fiber monocoque frame — not a carbon front triangle with aluminum chainstays like most "carbon" eBikes. Layup is tuned for fatigue resistance at full-suspension load (the failure mode for cheaper carbon eBikes). Manufactured by our trusted carbon partner with frame testing per ISO 4210. Net result: full-suspension trail capability at the lightest weight in our lineup.
