So, What’s the Buzz About Electric Bikes?
Hey there, ever heard folks talk about e-bikes or ebikes and wondered what the hype is all about? Well, think of your trusty old bicycle, but give it a bit of a modern twist with a battery-powered motor. Sounds cool, right? It’s a bit like having a trusty sidekick, only on two wheels! Classes? More Like School for Bikes!
- Class 1: The quiet types. They’re all about pedal power but will give you a boost up to 20 MPH when you need it.
- Class 2: The all-rounders. They love both pedalling and throttling, but they’ll never go beyond 20 MPH. Always playing it safe, those ones.
- Class 3: The speedsters. They’ll give you a nifty 28 MPH with pedal assist and still offer throttle up to 20 MPH.
Now, we’ve heard that some of our friends like Aventon, Rad Power Bikes, mostly deal in Class 2 bikes. Over at Biktrix? We’ve got the whole shebang. Most of our bikes can be set to class 2 or 3 with simple settings on the display. All our bikes can be set to class 1 by disconnecting the throttle - takes about a minute. Just remember to check with local laws, though. You don’t want to get on the wrong side of the bike police!
