Kickstand wrong on several levels

Wow, 25 USD, 20 Bucks to ship, to discover, it’s shorter than the original, making the bike lean to the point of falling. If you attempt to adjust by loosening the screw; watch out that you either back it out all the way, or worse, if the screw and nut separate, you may as well toss. Getting the two pieces together again is difficult.

It bolted on fine, but it was way too short to hold the bike up

Wish I had known it extended before it broke

Because I have pannier loaded with repair tools and flat out, add this on to the weight of the bike, and it’s quite heavy. Given that the kickstand arrives far too short for the bike, and it’s a lot of weight sitting on this aluminium stand at the worst angle. Honestly, the bike would often tip over just because the wind blew. I don’t recall any adjustment instructions that came with the bike, so I didn’t know it was adjustable until I went looking for a replacement. I don’t know if the reason for the failure was because the stand was too short, but it certainly contributed.

Almost 900 miles on my bike, and I’m still loving it! Even in spite of the kickstand.
